JMIR mHealth and uHealth accepted for Scopus

JMIR mHealth and uHealth has been accepted for inclusion in Elsevier-owned index Scopus. On July 1st 2018, "only" 5 years after JMIR mHealth & uHealth published its' first article, Scopus advised us that the title will be accepted for inclusion in Scopus. Other JMIR titles are still under evaluation. While we are happy that JMIR mHealth is finally indexed in Scopus, the delays and questionable evaluation methods (googling the publisher address to see if the office looks corporate enough instead of actually evaluation the journal content, or claiming that the journal is not cited enough, while the journal has demonstrably more citations than its' competitors) have been frustrating for the JMIR team and we invite academics and Scopus users to critically evaluate the timeliness of Scopus and its' ability to identify emerging leading journals in a timely manner.
