Feasibility of Using a Commercial Fitness Tracker as an Adjunct to Family-Based Weight Management Treatment: Pilot Randomized Trial

Feasibility of Using a Commercial Fitness Tracker as an Adjunct to Family-Based Weight Management Treatment: Pilot Randomized Trial

Therefore, the purpose of this study was to test the use of a fitness tracker as an adjunct to family-based weight management treatment for adolescents. Our aim was to explore whether providing caregivers with a fitness tracker, in addition to providing adolescents with a fitness tracker, would improve an adolescent’s fitness tracker satisfaction, fitness tracker utilization, and physical activity levels. A randomized trial of a fitness tracker was conducted over 3 months.

Incidence and Characterization of Post-COVID-19 Symptoms in Hospitalized COVID-19 Survivors to Recognize Syndemic Connotations in India: Single-Center Prospective Observational Cohort Study

Incidence and Characterization of Post-COVID-19 Symptoms in Hospitalized COVID-19 Survivors to Recognize Syndemic Connotations in India: Single-Center Prospective Observational Cohort Study

Presentations of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children and adults show that COVID-19 negativity is not a hardtop, as there could be postinfectious complications constituting a post-COVID-19 state and its associated health issues [2]. A clear definition of what these health problems are and their magnitude is crucial to prepare an efficient, multidisciplinary service [3].

Yoga and Aerobic Dance for Pain Management in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: Protocol for a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

The primary objectives of the proposed single-blind three-arm pilot RCT with a parallel group will be to examine (1) the feasibility of a 12-week full-effectiveness trial of two popular types of PA and an electronic pamphlet control group: group A: an online yoga training program and a PA electronic educational pamphlet; group B: an online aerobic dance training program and a PA electronic educational pamphlet; group C: an electronic pamphlet control group (PA electronic educational pamphlet) postintervention

SARS-CoV-2: The Second Wave in Europe

SARS-CoV-2: The Second Wave in Europe

A study claimed that a specific mutation had created a more “aggressive” form of the virus [1]. However, it was later argued that, during epidemics in general, a virus spreads to new areas and creates new localized epidemics that grow exponentially [2]. This finding implies that a mutated virus spreading in these new uninfected areas will rapidly increase its mutation frequency; this will occur even if the mutation is neutral or detrimental to the virus itself.

A Digital Tool for the Self-Assessment of Homes to Increase Age-Friendliness: Validity Study

A Digital Tool for the Self-Assessment of Homes to Increase Age-Friendliness: Validity Study

Supporting adults to age in place requires consideration of the house as not only a building but also a home [11]. Older people feel strongly connected with their homes and communities, as they provide security, comfort, and a place for self-reflection [5]. Homes are also considered a place to cherish memories and maintain a sense of belonging, which prevents loneliness [12,13].

Barriers and Facilitators of Obtaining Social Determinants of Health of Patients With Cancer Through the Electronic Health Record Using Natural Language Processing Technology: Qualitative Feasibility Study With Stakeholder Interviews

Barriers and Facilitators of Obtaining Social Determinants of Health of Patients With Cancer Through the Electronic Health Record Using Natural Language Processing Technology: Qualitative Feasibility Study With Stakeholder Interviews

We conducted a retrospective analysis of EHR data between 2015 to 2018 using a large collection of EHRs from the One Florida Clinical Research Consortium and found a low rate of usage for these Z codes (270.61 per 100,000 at the encounter level and 2.03% at the patient level) [13]. Clinicians often document SDo H in clinical notes; however, they were not collected in a systematic, structured format, posing further challenges and limits to their usage [3,5].
