Radical acceptance DBT, which refers to complete acceptance of reality, was translated as “全然” (quan ran) accordingly rather than being translated verbatim as “全然” (ji jin), which means extreme. We also used culturally relevant metaphors, stories, and skill practice examples that resonated with HIV-positive individuals to design the intervention content. Examples of adaptations in other dimensions are shown in Table 4.
