Using Text Messaging Surveys in General Practice Research to Engage With People From Low-Income Groups: Multi-Methods Study

The survey link was sent through an initial SMS text message from the general practice (n=431). We interviewed 12 representatives from the 5 practices. At least 2 staff members were interviewed from each practice. Our sample included 4 GPs, 4 practice nurses (PNs), and 4 administrative staff members, including PMs. Table 2 summarizes the demographic and professional characteristics of participants. A total of 7 PHN staff were interviewed, detailed in Table 3.
