Improving the Quality of Antenatal Care Using Mobile Health in Madagascar: Five-Year Cross-Sectional Study

They found that the mobile phone intervention was associated with not only an increase in ANC attendance, 44% of the women in the intervention group received four or more ANC visits versus 31% in the control group (R, 2.39; 95% CI 1.03-5.55), but also a trend toward improved timing and quality of ANC services, although the difference was not significant. We also did not explore the cost effectiveness or durability of the PANDA system, compared with the existing paper-based checklist.
