Investigating How the Use of Technology Can Reduce Missed Appointments: Quantitative Case Study at a General Practitioner Surgery

The Open University Human Research Ethics Committee approved this project (HREC/4180/Sides). This study aimed to analyze missed appointment frequencies and demographic characteristics of patients who missed appointments. Of the 572,794 appointments booked, 9191 were missed, with 5286 (57.5%) attributed to women and 3905 (42.5%) to men (Table 1).
