Uncovering a Role for Electronic Personal Health Records in Reducing Disparities in Sexually Transmitted Infection Rates Among Students at a Predominantly African American University: Mixed-Methods Study

Uncovering a Role for Electronic Personal Health Records in Reducing Disparities in Sexually Transmitted Infection Rates Among Students at a Predominantly African American University: Mixed-Methods Study

Although m Health intervention studies focused on improving partner communication on STI testing are promising, most studies do not account for the role of remote access to STI screening records in dyadic STI health communication. Electronic personal health records (PHRs) or patient portal services (eg, Epic My Chart, Cerner Patient Portal, Kaiser Permanente My Health Manager, Quest Diagnostics Care360) provide patients with remote access to their laboratory test results, including STI results.

Future intervention development may consider cues to complete routine posts/engagement, while also providing additional tools to maximize use flexibility (eg, mobile optimization) [31]. In reviewing the content posted to users’ Journals, we found a broad set of general topics. However, some AD/ADRD symptomologies were particularly common among posts; specifically, users often posted about sleep and toileting issues [11,12,32].

Mobile Technology Use by People Experiencing Multiple Sclerosis Fatigue: Survey Methodology

Mobile Technology Use by People Experiencing Multiple Sclerosis Fatigue: Survey Methodology

The key advantages of mobile phone technologies include the ability to provide an individual level of support to change health behaviors and improve disease management, allowing temporal synchronization of the intervention delivery and allowing the intervention to claim people’s attention when it is most relevant or in the best context [27].

The data collectors are not involved in delivering the intervention and are blinded to the allocation of the intervention. All data collectors will receive training before data collection to standardize data collection procedures. All information will be collected face-to-face.

Low vision (at least one eye with visual acuity Two interventions were implemented, which are detailed in the sections on the intervention group and control group. Apart from the interventions described below, the research team did not prohibit participants from engaging in any other activities during the intervention period.

An Electronic Medical Record–Based Prognostic Model for Inpatient Falls: Development and Internal-External Cross-Validation

However, predictions are likely to remain useful for if the models were implemented in a manner that prioritized higher-risk patients (based on rank of estimated risk) toward a fall prevention intervention rather than applying a selected cutoff point above which the patient receives the intervention.

Deceptively Simple yet Profoundly Impactful: Text Messaging Interventions to Support Health

Deceptively Simple yet Profoundly Impactful: Text Messaging Interventions to Support Health

The paper explores the specific aspects of SMS interventions that contribute to their effectiveness with a focus on the real-time capability of SMS interventions to collect information and deliver microdoses of intervention support. The paper then discusses crucial SMS intervention design considerations across categories of communication strategies, psychological underpinnings, behavior change techniques (BCTs), and enhanced functionalities.

Trial Factors Associated With Completion of Clinical Trials Evaluating AI: Retrospective Case-Control Study

Trial Factors Associated With Completion of Clinical Trials Evaluating AI: Retrospective Case-Control Study

We only included complete and incomplete trials testing AI technologies as a primary intervention, categorized by complete (n=485) or incomplete status (n=51; Figure S1 in Multimedia Appendix 1). Our study focused on clinical trials that evaluated AI technologies in at least 1 study arm to assess the characteristics of trial completion associated with primary AI interventions.

Using the Preparation Phase of the Multiphase Optimization Strategy to Design an Antiextremism Program in Bahrain: Formative and Pilot Research

Using the Preparation Phase of the Multiphase Optimization Strategy to Design an Antiextremism Program in Bahrain: Formative and Pilot Research

Typically, once researchers develop these intervention lessons, they assemble them into a multicomponent intervention “package” and evaluate this full intervention. One drawback of this approach is that researchers cannot evaluate the effect of each individual lesson, or “component.” While the full intervention package may prove effective, some components may be weak, ineffective, or even harmful.
