Nurses’ Use of mHealth Apps for Chronic Conditions: Cross-Sectional Survey

Nurses’ Use of mHealth Apps for Chronic Conditions: Cross-Sectional Survey

The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) was used to guide this study in terms of understanding clinician engagement. The UTAUT is based on the assumption that there are 3 direct determinants of intention to use (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence) and 2 direct determinants of usage behavior (intention to use and facilitating condition) [17,18].

Perception of People Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia About Information and Communication Technologies for Chronic Pain Management: Cross-Sectional Survey Study

For these reasons, their use is increasing in the health field in general [7,8] but also for people with chronic pain [9,10]. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the awareness and potential of ICTs [11]. Despite the considerable potential, little research has explored to what extent people with pain use ICTs and what their perceptions about ICTs are.

Adoption and Use of Telemedicine and Digital Health Services Among Older Adults in Light of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Repeated Cross-Sectional Analysis

Adoption and Use of Telemedicine and Digital Health Services Among Older Adults in Light of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Repeated Cross-Sectional Analysis

Although there has been general success for many of the telehealth systems already in use, these technologies are sometimes created without considering how easy they will be for patients and caregivers to use. Although telemedicine offers a way to deliver equitable health care, many people with disabilities find it difficult and challenging to access and use telehealth services [15].

Occupational Therapy Students’ Evidence-Based Practice Skills as Reported in a Mobile App: Cross-Sectional Study

Occupational Therapy Students’ Evidence-Based Practice Skills as Reported in a Mobile App: Cross-Sectional Study

The students watched a video presentation of how to use the app and explored using the app while being supervised by a teacher. During the fifth semester, the students were encouraged to use the EBPsteps app on campus (4 weeks) and during clinical placements (11 weeks). While on campus, students had to use either the EBPsteps app or a Microsoft Word document to complete a mandatory EBP assignment that involved producing a CAT on a clinical topic.

Studies of Social Anxiety Using Ambulatory Assessment: Systematic Review

Studies of Social Anxiety Using Ambulatory Assessment: Systematic Review

However, the use of cognitive reappraisal did not lead to any changes in people with high SA. Meanwhile, Farmer and Kashdan [16] found that individuals with SAD were 3 times more likely to present acute shifts in NA, which may be a particular experience of this anxiety disorder and not others. This acute shift in NA may lead to experiencing emotions as uncontrollable and threatening, which in turn could explain the higher use of suppression.

The Relationship Between Insufficient Vision and Technology Access and Use Among Hospitalized Adults at an Urban Academic Hospital: Observational Study

The Relationship Between Insufficient Vision and Technology Access and Use Among Hospitalized Adults at an Urban Academic Hospital: Observational Study

Validated surveys assessed technology access and use, and included benchmarked questions from the National Pew Survey to determine access to, willingness to use, and self-described ability to use technology at home, particularly for self-management [21], and e Health-specific questions assessing future willingness to access e Health post discharge. The e Health Literacy Scale (e HEALS) was used to assess e HL [22].

Health Care Students’ Knowledge of and Attitudes, Beliefs, and Practices Toward the French COVID-19 App: Cross-sectional Questionnaire Study

Recently, several researchers have investigated the acceptability and use of contact tracing apps in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some studies are based on surveys assessing the uptake of these apps among different population samples. These studies mostly refer to a hypothetical app and the intention to use it [16-24], and only a few collect information on the use of an existing tool like Stop Covid [25-27].

User Intentions to Use ChatGPT for Self-Diagnosis and Health-Related Purposes: Cross-sectional Survey Study

The UTAUT framework posits 4 factors influencing an individual’s behavioral intention to use a given technology: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. In this research, we only retrieved performance expectancy from UTUAT and added risk-benefit considerations and decision-making as factors affecting the intent to use Chat GPT.

ChroniSense National Early Warning Score Study: Comparison Study of a Wearable Wrist Device to Measure Vital Signs in Patients Who Are Hospitalized

ChroniSense National Early Warning Score Study: Comparison Study of a Wearable Wrist Device to Measure Vital Signs in Patients Who Are Hospitalized

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) provided emergency use authorizations for medical devices for a number of remote or wearable patient monitoring devices during the COVID-19 pandemic [10]. Wrist-based devices may be easier to use and more versatile than harness or chest-based devices [11]. A wrist-based wearable device was studied in a small study (N=35) to assess the validity of heart rate and respiratory rate measurements [12].
