There are notable differences in the citations of research outcomes from different countries. According to the results shown in Multimedia Appendix 4, China ranks at the top in terms of total citations, with 4877, but the average number of citations per paper is 17.40. Conversely, Germany boasts the highest average citations per paper, reaching an impressive 489.20 citations.
