Sex Differences in the Variability of Physical Activity Measurements Across Multiple Timescales Recorded by a Wearable Device: Observational Retrospective Cohort Study

Sex Differences in the Variability of Physical Activity Measurements Across Multiple Timescales Recorded by a Wearable Device: Observational Retrospective Cohort Study

We used the median IQR across all 206 days as a proxy for s and tested multiple values for (µ1 − µ2): 40 (approximately the difference in 24-hour MET sums resulting from a 20-min walk), 100 (approximately the difference in 24-hour MET sums resulting from 20 min of moderate-intensity activity), and 180 (approximately the difference in 24-hour MET sums resulting from 20 min of high-intensity activity). We chose these values to represent a difference that may be significant to health.
