The fully automatic electronic sphygmomanometer was used to measure the participants’ blood pressure in the right upper arm after sitting still and resting for 10 min. The measurement of blood pressure was made twice, each time with an interval of 1-2 minutes, and the average of the 2 readings was taken and recorded. Blood samples were collected from the antecubital vein after an 8- to 10-hour fast and were promptly sent to the clinical laboratory for processing.
