Effectiveness of Frequent Point-of-Care Molecular COVID-19 Surveillance in a Rural Workplace: Nonrandomized Controlled Clinical Trial Among Miners

Viral load per sample was determined as described by Perkins et al [18]. The Cohen κ coefficient was used to determine the intrarater agreement between the NS and NPS sample collection methodologies. Characteristics of miners participating at the intervention and control mines were summarized as frequencies and percentages and means and SDs. Frequencies of categorical variables for the two study arms were compared using χ2 tests and Fisher exact tests.
