English-speaking at a a level appropriate for informed consent and study participation.
Residence is defined as rural or in metropolitan Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
No plans to relocate within 12 months of enrollment.
Exclusion criteria
Conditions other than AF that require anticoagulation, such as mechanical prosthetic valve, deep vein thrombosis, or pulmonary embolism.
Previous electrophysiologic treatment for AF, such as a pulmonary vein isolation.

The search will be limited to the English language. To ensure literature saturation, two researchers will review the cited references of all included articles. PROSPERO will be searched for ongoing or recently completed systematic reviews. As studies relevant to our project are identified, reviewers will assess for additional relevant cited and citing articles. Additionally, key studies identified by the team will be searched for in the results to ensure the validity of the search strategy.

They also must be 18 years or older to participate and must be able to read fluently in English, Spanish, or French. Participants will be excluded if they do not identify as a man or do not reside in Canada, the United States, or the United Kingdom. They will be excluded if they are under 18 years of age or cannot read fluently in English, Spanish, or French.
To participate in the interview, individuals must indicate at the end of the survey that they are interested in participating in an interview.

In imminent danger of losing their housing and not being able to use the rent subsidy to sustain market rent housing (eg, facing jail time).

Individuals are eligible to participate if they are 18 years of age or older, able to read and speak English, own a cell phone with the capability of receiving SMS text messages, within 14 days of being dispensed a prescribed opioid medication, and have an opioid prescription that is for 30 days or less.
