Acceptance of Social Media Recruitment for Clinical Studies Among Patients With Hepatitis B: Mixed Methods Study

We analyze the aspect of trust in a separate publication (Willem, T, et al, unpublished data, January 2024) in detail and hypothesize the following: (H4) The more patients trust information sources, the higher their acceptance of social media recruitment. The hypothesis was operationalized for trust in medical information sources (H4a) and trust in nonmedical information sources (H4b). A particular concern of most patients we spoke with was their privacy.
