The second category, the Mom Connect Task Team, involved representatives of different private and public sector organizations, academic institutions, and independent consultants. These representatives were involved at different stages of the Mom Connect implementation and have held monthly meetings since the inception of the Mom Connect project. The third category involved professional clinical staff at the 4 inner-city PHC facilities.

The MomConnect Nurses and Midwives Support Platform (NurseConnect): A Qualitative Process Evaluation
Over the past decade, great strides have been made, which include the introduction of Mom Connect by the South African National Department of Health (NDOH) in 2014 [3,4]. Mom Connect is a mobile health (m Health) solution created to improve and promote maternal health services in South Africa by providing pregnant mothers with free stage-based messaging and a helpdesk, while also creating a universal pregnancy registry [5,6].
