Insights Into How mHealth Applications Could Be Introduced Into Standard Hypertension Care in Germany: Qualitative Study With German Cardiologists and General Practitioners

Using qualitative data collection methods, comprehensive interviews were conducted with general practitioners and cardiologists. All the ethical issues were addressed. All experimental protocols were approved by the institutional or licensing committee. All methods were performed in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Written consent was obtained from all participants after they were given the opportunity to ask clarifying questions.

Benefits and Barriers to mHealth in Hypertension Care: Qualitative Study With German Health Care Professionals

Cardiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, including hypertension. They can treat complex cases of hypertension and offer specialized diagnosis and treatment options. Internists can also play a role in the care of patients with hypertension, especially if there are comorbidities or complex medical problems. Nursing professionals (nurses, nursing assistants) play a crucial role in the care of patients with hypertension.

Wait Times for Scheduling Appointments for Prevention of Macrovascular and Microvascular Complications of Diabetes: Cross-Sectional Descriptive Study

The offices of three different kinds of specialists—cardiologists, endocrinologists, and ophthalmologists—in NYC were contacted by telephone to determine the number of days required to schedule an appointment for a new patient with diabetes. The sample frame was cardiologists, endocrinologists, and ophthalmologists, listed on the websites of all accredited private or public hospitals in NYC in the fall of 2022.
