Development of Digital Health Messages for Rural Populations in Tanzania: Multi- and Interdisciplinary Approach

Impactful health messages are clearly needed in the global fight against infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and zoonosis (diseases that affect animals and humans) such as Taenia solium cysticercosis and taeniasis (TSCT) and anthrax. The Tanzanian Health Sector Strategic Plan states that the disease control programs for HIV/AIDS and TB have been successful in the areas of early detection and treatment. However, further improvements are needed in the field of prevention [13].
