Barriers and Facilitators to Accessing Digital Health Tools Faced by South Asian Canadians in Surrey, British Columbia: Community-Based Participatory Action Exploration Using Photovoice

A review of studies using photovoice illustrates that this approach can engage communities in meaningful research to promote positive change, even in hard-to-reach populations [23]. Photovoice can overcome potential barriers related to language and literacy through the emphasis on photographs [26], and therefore it was identified as a valuable method for this study where such barriers may exist among participants.
