One widely popular sport globally is running [6]. Over the past 40 years, running has become one of the most popular physical leisure activities [7,8]. An estimated 50 million people in Europe participate in running as a way to stay healthy [9]. Due to high running participation prevalence [9], researchers have attempted to quantify running habits and training load, most notably through self-report [10]. Running load or workload is the distance run in 1 session. A training session is 1 running bout.

This choice was guided by the intention to aid military units in selecting appropriate measurement devices for running-related activities in the future.
The Q-Band Q-69 wristband was used to gather data on heart rate and acceleration. It is adept at monitoring a variety of parameters, including movement patterns, heart rate, acceleration, daily exercise, and sleep patterns.

The authors reported that this index was positively correlated with running performance [16]. Subsequently, another study suggested that the CFI was positively correlated with the G tolerance of pilots [17]. The purpose of this study was to observe changes in the CFI after performing exergames.

To date, these wearable devices can only monitor parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate, electrocardiography, VO2 max test, running distance, and running speed [20-26]. They are still unable to determine some indicators precisely, such as the dynamic cardiac function changes in the wearer during running.
The relationship between cardiac function changes during running and running performance should be further explored.

From Passive Patient to Engaged Partner: My Journey With Parkinson Disease
It was good news when my neurologist mentioned that intensive aerobic exercise has been shown to slow progression of PD, since I enjoy running and race-walking. My experience as a cross-country and track and field coach helped me tap into my knowledge of goal-setting, physical activity, and planning workouts to help not only my students but also myself.
In the ensuing years, I tailored my training plan to try to minimize the impact of PD for as long as possible.

In order to investigate the role of information literacy in the safe and effective use of tracking in a range of contexts, we selected three contrasting populations to study: participants in parkrun free running events, people with type 2 diabetes, and people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Running is one of the most popular ways to exercise in the Netherlands, with 2.1 million people running on a regular basis [1]. In addition to beneficial health effects of being active, running is associated with a high risk of musculoskeletal injuries. The incidence of running-related injuries (RRIs) is reported to range from 3-59 injuries per 1000 exposure hours [2-4], with most RRIs occurring in the knee, followed by the calf, Achilles tendon, and shin [5].

Middle- and long-distance running is one of the most popular forms of physical exercise worldwide, and running competitions attract millions of spectators in association with city races, world championships, and Olympic Games [1]. It is therefore a major concern that ill health and pain, as a result of sports overuse, are common causes of lost training and decreased performance among long-distance runners [2-4].
