Electronic Health Record Use Patterns Among Well-Being Survey Responders and Nonresponders: Longitudinal Observational Study

Electronic Health Record Use Patterns Among Well-Being Survey Responders and Nonresponders: Longitudinal Observational Study

This combination of findings suggests that a more complex interplay exists among EHR use, physician well-being, and survey response. This study sought (1) to identify systematic differences in EHR use measures between physician survey responders and nonresponders and (2) to provide a prediction modeling approach for estimating symptom burden among survey nonresponders using physician burnout as a use case.

Access to Health Care and Use of Health Care Services Among Males in Africa: Protocol for a Scoping Review

To this end, the primary objective of this scoping review is to map evidence on males’ access to and use of health care services and identify gaps for targeted, context-specific strategies to improve males’ health outcomes, particularly in Africa. We will use a scoping review approach to map out existing evidence on males’ health-seeking behavior and access to and uptake of health care services in Africa.

Digital Transformation of Rheumatology Care in Germany: Cross-Sectional National Survey

Digital Transformation of Rheumatology Care in Germany: Cross-Sectional National Survey

In particular, the patient perspective is critical to ensuring that DHTs actually improve health care, meets patient needs, and builds patient trust in the use of DHTs. Thus, the aim of this study was to explore the current acceptance, use, and preferences regarding DHTs among patients in rheumatology care in Germany. To explore the patients’ perspectives and preferences regarding digital health systems in rheumatology care, we recruited rheumatology patients in 3 outpatient clinics.

Access to Primary Care Telemedicine and Visit Characterization in a Pediatric, Low-Income, Primarily Latino Population: Retrospective Study

Other interventions in the literature include the use of patient navigators for telemedicine [16]. The use of telemedicine navigators was found to benefit physicians and patients along with being cost-effective. Some authors have also described digital rooming [17].

This testing would provide valuable information for further development of the app before use in future interventional clinical trials. Alongside this, we examined core interactions and use of the app by patients with hypertension, assessed by participant engagement, compliance, and a User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) [7].

Understanding Patient Portal Uses and Needs: Cross-Sectional Study in a State Fair Setting

Understanding Patient Portal Uses and Needs: Cross-Sectional Study in a State Fair Setting

Despite growth in patient portal access [6], there is variation in the use of features [7] and a limited understanding of desired features and data needs. This study contributes to the literature by examining the use and interest in available portal features and identifying desired features and unmet data needs. Data collection occurred at the Minnesota State Fair as part of the University of Minnesota’s Driven-to-Discover Initiative in August-September 2023 [8] (Multimedia Appendix 1).

Moreover, as previous research has often been criticized for considering only 1 possible measure of use, we considered both the number of log-ins (frequency of use) and the percentage of completed materials (intensity of use) to operationalize use. However, we chose to consider the number of log-ins for our primary analyses, as this is the measure most often used in previous research [29].

The Role of Assistive Technology in Enabling Older Adults to Achieve Independent Living: Past and Future

The Role of Assistive Technology in Enabling Older Adults to Achieve Independent Living: Past and Future

It is harder to pin down a single majority topic for the 1089 AT-related studies published in 2019, but it is clear that there is a much greater emphasis on the use and innovation afforded by new technologies, along with more studies that address the use of AT for older adults without a specific disability, asking questions such as “can robots replace carers?” [18].

Roles and Responsibilities of the Global Specialist Digital Health Workforce: Analysis of Global Census Data

The importance of a specialist digital health workforce to support the development, use, management, and governance of health data, health information, health knowledge, and health technology has been well-documented [1], particularly through the transformation of digital health during the COVID-19 pandemic. This largely hidden workforce [2] supports the digital health needs for care delivery and management.
