Notably, NAEPP guidelines were recently updated in 2020 to include single maintenance and reliever therapy (SMART), a paradigm-shifting change to recommendations for the management of youth with persistent asthma [7].
Use of NAEPP guidelines improves asthma control, reduces the likelihood of exacerbations, and decreases health care usage [4,7-9]. However, there is a persistent gap between NAEPP guidelines and their implementation in practice, particularly among primary care providers (PCPs) [10,11].

It is also often difficult to ascertain the design process of these tools [3] and whether the underlying content is developed in accordance with the evolving clinical evidence base, protocols, and guidelines. This is largely due to the existing process of translating narrative guidelines into digital systems, which is often laborious, prone to error, and lacks accompanying technical documentation appropriate for digital use [4].

Since then, inhaled corticosteroid (ICS)–containing therapies have been recommended for all patients with asthma by both international and Chinese guidelines [6,8,14]. However, ICS-containing therapies are largely underused in China.

This study aims to develop algorithm-specific sample size guidelines using dataset–level variables that can be estimated or manipulated by researchers before any data has been collected, analogous to a sample size calculation performed in a traditional power analysis. The focus of these guidelines was on the stable internal validity of each method, which is typically the first benchmark used to assess performance when attempting to develop a predictive model.

Toward defining design guidelines for this unique type of visualization, which we name HI-viz, we systematically searched the literature for established visualization design theories and guidelines from academic and industry sources, focusing on general design guidelines for visualizations and more specific guidelines for designing holistic, integrated, and timely visualizations.
In the following sections, we will position HI-viz displays against the current existing visualization types.

The Can Child protocols [3,4] consist of 6 stages of RTA and 5 stages of RTS, made with reference to the Zurich guidelines [25]. Youth were advised that no high intensity physical activity or contact sports was permitted while they were symptomatic. They were also informed that “rest” does not equate to social isolation or sensory deprivation. Once recruited, youth received the Acti Graph and the 2015 Can Child protocols [3,4] immediately.

The World Alliance for Patient Safety first drafted the guidelines for a system to report and learn adverse events, which were updated and revised as WHO Guidelines for PSIRL Systems. In South Africa, it was recommended by the National Department of Health that every health establishment was expected to adhere to the PSRIL system as stipulated in this guideline [1].

We conducted our rapid review following the Cochrane rapid review recommendations [20] and World Health Organization guidelines [21]. Our rapid review protocol was registered on PROSPERO (CRD42022384474) and published on the Open Science Framework [22]. This review is the first phase of a multiphase study aiming to contribute recommendations for digital public health workforce competencies in Canada [23].

It also seems necessary to issue guidelines for the development and implementation of health-oriented RCSs [54].
The objective of this study was to highlight the main ethical questions and corresponding recommendations linked to the use of RCSs for older adults for engineers, researchers, and health professionals in this field. For this purpose, we conducted a narrative literature review using the ethical dimension of the EUnet HTA Core Model to guide the analysis.

Along with the increase in the use of PROMs, it is important to ensure that guidelines, frameworks, checklists, and recommendations for implementing PROMs, addressing various aspects of PROMs’ implementation, exist to aid successful PROs collection.
The findings of this scoping review will help us identify which guidelines, frameworks, checklists, and recommendations exist and if and how they have been applied in PROMs’ implementation in clinical trials, clinical practice, and CQRs.
