Functional and Technical Aspects of Self-management mHealth Apps: Systematic App Search and Literature Review

In phase 3, a group of 24 open-source apps was reviewed manually and automatically, including 11 (46%) Android and 13 (54%) i OS apps. In total, we reviewed 41 i OS and 77 Android apps, including 7 (17%) i OS and 45 (58%) Android apps in phase 1, 21 (51%) i OS and 21 (27%) Android apps in phase 2, and 13 (54%) i OS and 11 (46%) Android apps in phase 3. The apps in phase 2 have almost the same functionalities and structures on both platforms.
