State-of-the-Art Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)–Based Data Model and Structure Implementations: Systematic Scoping Review

State-of-the-Art Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)–Based Data Model and Structure Implementations: Systematic Scoping Review

Because structures and data points need to be connected to represent connections, data modeling offers a visual representation of the system, in a whole or in some parts. For instance, one of the most used conceptual data models is the entity relationship model which is generally linked to a relational database [1]. Data modeling is a process that defines how the data should be maintained in a database.

Modeling the Regional Distribution of International Travelers in Spain to Estimate Imported Cases of Dengue and Malaria: Statistical Inference and Validation Study

Modeling the Regional Distribution of International Travelers in Spain to Estimate Imported Cases of Dengue and Malaria: Statistical Inference and Validation Study

This advance may contribute to the adequate modeling and monitoring of VBDs, which might be relevant for effective outbreak prevention strategies. More efficient resource allocation strategies for both vector control and disease prevention can be designed if reliable predictions of the geographical locations of imported cases are available.

Epidemiological Modeling of the Impact of Public Health Policies on Hepatitis C: Protocol for a Gamification Tool Targeting Microelimination

Epidemiological Modeling of the Impact of Public Health Policies on Hepatitis C: Protocol for a Gamification Tool Targeting Microelimination

The focus has been the modeling of incidence and prevalence rates, transmission routes, disease burden, and other factors that could be fundamental to the determination of when elimination could be achieved in different countries. Modeling in this area gained momentum with the introduction of DAA as a new effective treatment for hepatitis C in 2014 and the WHO’s targets for the elimination of hepatitis C by 2030.

COVID-19 Conceptual Modeling: Single-Center Cross-Sectional Study

COVID-19 Conceptual Modeling: Single-Center Cross-Sectional Study

Therefore, modeling was reintroduced as a tool to evaluate the medical and nonmedical effects of COVID-19. Modeling is defined as an abstract representation of the real world linked to learning theory. Modeling is case sensitive, as it is affected by the attributes included in the model and the questions to be answered; thus, different models are developed for different purposes.

Design Issues in Personalized Nutrition Advice Systems

Design Issues in Personalized Nutrition Advice Systems

Regarding reasoning, we will discuss how evidence-based food-health relations can be incorporated into a digital system and about the modeling strategies that we used. Regarding acting, the focus is on the communication of feedback (health and dietary status) and advice (dietary recommendations) and the use of behavior change techniques for activating consumers.
