Furthermore, 36.1% (1423/3937) of schoolchildren did not relate the presence of FOPWL with the consequences they would experience if they consumed these products in excess. Finally, 95.5% (3755/3937) of schoolchildren indicated that their parents are the ones who teach them about healthy eating. All questions are shown in Multimedia Appendix 1.

Although both anxiety and depression are conditions that severely affect schoolchildren and adolescents and have been shown to predict future mental health problems, interventions are focused on prevention or treatment instead of prediction and risk factors [12].
Schoolchildren’s mental health problems including depression and anxiety have been studied by many researchers [12-16].

Early findings demonstrate that when schoolchildren were educated in BLS, bystander rates of CPR have doubled [17]. Proponents of educating schoolchildren in BLS can do so using interactive digital technologies, including mobile learning (m-learning) [18,19] with gamification features (GFs) [20,21].

However, there is a lack of good quality and timely data on schoolchildren, particularly those aged 10-14 years [3]. Parents may help to report the health behaviors of their children at home but often are not fully aware of their activities out of home, especially when children are increasingly independent in their food and activity choices at this age [4].
