The scoping review protocol has been registered on the Open Science Framework Registries [30] and was guided by and reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols (PRISMA-P) [31]. The completed PRISMA-P checklist can be found in Multimedia Appendix 1. The results of the scoping review will be reported using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-Sc R) checklist [32].

Biases in Race and Ethnicity Introduced by Filtering Electronic Health Records for “Complete Data”: Observational Clinical Data Analysis

For each group, we calculated the P values by comparing the observed proportion relative to the sum of that group and the white baseline group against an expected baseline. Subsequently, we adjusted the P values for multiple hypothesis correction using the Bonferroni method. The research performed complies with all relevant ethical regulations; the institutional review boards (IRBs) that approved the study protocol are Columbia (IRB AAAL0601) and CSMC (IRB STUDY00003395).
