These results support the findings from the more unstructured and smaller pilot study by Pappot et al [17], where Qo L was first tested when using the same adolescents and young adults cancer app. As in this study, the pilot study found a significant increase in overall Qo L after 6 weeks in the follow-up group. For the treatment group, the Qo L remained stable throughout the 6 weeks. This initial finding could have been due to the single-center nature of the study.
