Perspectives of Adolescents and Young Adults With Inflammatory Bowel Disease on a Biopsychosocial Transition Intervention: Qualitative Interview Study

Perspectives of Adolescents and Young Adults With Inflammatory Bowel Disease on a Biopsychosocial Transition Intervention: Qualitative Interview Study

It’s not that they're boring per se, it’s that I'm not focused enough, ever. Finally, adolescents and young adults whose learning preferences were at odds with how information was conveyed in the modules and educational curriculum faced barriers to retaining knowledge. For instance, participants who were visual learners expressed difficulties taking in the information and solidifying their learning, given that most of the content was delivered via a speaker on camera without visuals to illustrate concepts.

Lee with permission from the original author. The Korean version of the SC-CII is downloadable from a website [37]. The SC-CII measures three domains of self-care: self-care maintenance (8 items), self-care monitoring (5 items), and self-care management (7 items). Each item was scored using a 5-point Likert scale (1=never or not likely, 5=always or very likely) with total scores ranging from 0 to 100.

Optimizing Initial Vancomycin Dosing in Hospitalized Patients Using Machine Learning Approach for Enhanced Therapeutic Outcomes: Algorithm Development and Validation Study

Optimizing Initial Vancomycin Dosing in Hospitalized Patients Using Machine Learning Approach for Enhanced Therapeutic Outcomes: Algorithm Development and Validation Study

In a study by Yoon et al [12], 69.8% (2051/2570) of cases had initial vancomycin trough concentrations outside the therapeutic range (10-20 mg/L). According to the latest clinical guidelines on TDM for vancomycin, the recommended dosage for serious MRSA infections is 15-20 mg/kg every 8-12 hours [6]. While the vancomycin package insert provides renal function-based dosing guidelines, in real-world clinical practice, initial doses are often determined based on the clinician’s experience [13,14].
